Welcome to the XEOX documentation
XEOX is a modular, cloud-based management tool for Windows Server and client infrastructures. It has an integrated Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Inventory, a Patch Management and Updates Module, a Jobs Module, a Port-based NAC Module, and much more. It is a central place where you can maintain the IT landscape of all computers and servers, which belong to your company and keep track of the inventory and software. In this documentation you will be able to take a closer look at what XEOX offers and how best to use all these modules.
XEOX is a management tool that lets you administer hardware, software and networks from a central repository. XEOX is suitable for all types of companies, from 1 to 10,000 PCs. It is fully compatible with all major versions of Windows. Currently, XEOX includes four main modules:
- Configuration Management Database (CMDB) - A database that stores information about hardware and software assets, locations, employees and departments.
- Update Center - A module that displays devices and provides information about needed updates.
- Job Center - A module that creates, schedules and controls jobs such as installing Windows updates.
- Port-based Network Access Control (PNAC) - A network security solution that prevents unregistered devices from accessing the network.
Other modules include a Reporting module, an IP Plan module, a Security module, and a Subnet configuration module. This documentation introduces each of these modules and explains the ideal use of the tool in different scenarios.
