In Automation - Update Lists, user can create update lists that let you select and combine into a list. You can then use these lists as Allow or Deny lists by adding the previously created update list to either the Denied Updates List or Allowed Updates List when creating an automation for Wuinstall. Select either one of the Tools in the Toolbox under WuInstall, do apply Deny or Allow Lists. You can find and create Update Lists under Automations - Update Lists.
First in Automation - Update Lists click on the create button to add another Update List. The editor will then allow you to name the list and select specific updates in a dropdown list.

As mentioned user can enter the lists bei unsing any item under WuInstall in the toolbox when creating an automation. Enter the created lists in the following sections, depening on if a deny or allow list is required.

Deny List
Creating a Deny List enables you to exclude updates that you do not wish to install for various reasons. By using this method, all updates are installed except for those specified in the Deny-List. For instance, you can create an automation that installs updates that are 30 days old or older, with the exception of those on the deny list. Subsequently, you can create a second automation to install all updates, including new ones, but exclude those on the deny list for test devices. This allows you to test which updates work and which ones don't on the test devices, and you have 30 days to add them to the deny list.
As mentioned above, if you want to create a deny list, go to Automations - Update Lists and click the create Button. You will see the following editor.

Select the Updates, that you want to deny.
Allow List
The Allow List method allows you to install only the updates that are listed, requiring a review of each update to be individually added to the list. You can view available updates in Devices, by clicking the number under all updates, research them on the Internet, and then include them on the list. This approach ensures that only desired updates are installed on the devices.

As mentioned above, if you want to create a allow list, go to Automations - Update Lists and click the create Button. You will see the following editor.

Select the Updates, that you want to allow.
Inherit
The Inheritance feature enables Update Lists to be stored and shared across multiple computers or organizations. By selecting the inherit button, the Update List becomes accessible to the organization and all of its sub-organizations. This is particularly beneficial when a uniform allow or deny list is required to be used by everyone.

Default Deny and Allow List
Deny and Allow lists are only applied, when you select them in the automation specifically. However you can make a Deny or Allow list the default and apply it automatically to an update automation under Administration - Settings - Patch Management.

Select the List from the Dropdown menu and don’t forget to Save.

Once a Deny or Allow list is selected and saved here, it will always be applied, when using WuInstall until it is removed from the Settings.
