Hardware Columns

List of columns:

  • ID
    • XEOX is using an internal unique ID for each hardware object. This ID cannot be changed.

  • Host Name
    • Host name or another unique name for the object. Can be changed.

  • Tags
    • A list of tags assigned to the hardware.

  • Last Name
    • If the hardware has been assigned to a person, the last name of the person would be shown here.

  • First Name
    • If the hardware has been assigned to a person, the first name of the person would be shown here.

  • Serial Number
    • Serial Number of the hardware. If the hardware has an agent installed, this field will be the bios serial number. This field would be updated by the hardware inventory task.

  • Service Tag
    • Same as Serial Number but not updated by the hardware inventory.

  • Brand
    • Manufacturer of the hardware. It's a field from the Hardware Type table.

  • Hardware Type
    • e.g. Model. Defined in the Hardware Type table

  • Hardware Class
    • e.g. Server, Desktop, Notebook, ...

  • Room
  • Loc in use
    • Location in use. Free from field.

  • Purchase Date
  • Warranty Duration
  • Site Name
    • Name of the Site where the hardware has been assigned to.

  • WU Last Search
    • Date when the last search for missing Windows updates has been done by the agent.

  • Reasons for an old date:
    • Hardware is not online
    • No internet connection (Agent is not able to communicate with XEOX)
    • No agent installed on the hardware or agent service stopped.
    • Problem with the Windows update service on the machine.
  • WU Last Update Installed
    • Date when the last Update has been installed on the machine. Since Microsoft is releasing updates at least once a month, this shouldn't be older than 30 days.

  • Reasons for more than 30 days:
    • Hardware is not online
    • No Internet connection (Agent is not able to communicate with XEOX)
    • Wrong WSUS configuration
    • Problem with Windows update service
  • Agent Version
    • Version of the installed XEOX Agent.

  • WUAUSRV API Version
    • Version of the Windows Update Service on the machine. Useful for troubleshooting Windows Update Service Problems (e.g. you have to install a newer version manually since the Microsoft Update process is broken with the old version)

  • AV Last Update
  • Last Inventory
  • AD Last Logon
  • Last Heartbeat
    • Date when the hardware was last seen by XEOX

  • Current Site
    • This field would be calculated based on the IP address of the Machine and the assigned Subnet in IP Plan. Useful to fix Site assignment issues.

  • External IP
    • IP address use by the Agent for the https communication with the XEOX cloud service.

  • Withdraw Date
    • Date when the hardware has been withdrawn (pre stage in the delete process)

  • Comment

  • OEM License Key

    • Date when the hardware has been created in the cmdb.

  • Department
  • Parent Hardware
    • Useful for Virtualization. e.g. you can assign a hardware where this hardware is located.

  • Network - MAC
    • List of MAC addresses of the hardware

  • Network - IP DHPC
    • List of IP addresses of the hardware

  • Network - IP static
    • List of IP addresses of the hardware

  • AntiVirusProduct
    • Name of the Anti Virus Products installed on the machine

  • AntiVirusProduct State
    • AutoUpdate: Scanner is making updates automatically
    • UpToDate: Scanner is up-to-date
    • ScannerRunning: Scanner is running
