XEOX Remote, works like Getscreen.me as a connection between two devices. For XEOX Remote you don't need to install anything, it only works on Windows and the local network.
You can start XEOX Remote by either going to CMDB - Hardware or the Update Center. For this example, we will use the Update Center.
Click on the three dots of the device you want to use XEOX Remote on and select Remote Acces - XEOX Remote.
XEOX Remote allows different settings.
RDP
RDP works like Windows Remote Assistance. You only have to enter the username and password of the device to connect. Additionally you can also determine the keyboard language and automatically add a local temp admin. (In case you canโt see the the local temp user option, refer to the second to last point, Local Temp Admin, of this article)
Terminal
Terminal works similarly to RDP. You also have to enter the username and password here, but you donโt have the advanced settings and establishing a connection will only open a windows terminal.
Remote Support
Remote Support will give you a selection of user to choose from.
Once a user is connected, you can select, wether the user has to give permission to take remote control, or not. This is similar to asking for support via TeamViewer
Keyboard Layout
If you do not enter any keyboard layout whatsoever, the layout and language used is automatically matched to the device you want to enter.
You can also specify a default layout, under Account - Settings. This layout is then automatically used whenever you connect to a machine with XEOX Remote, unless you specifically change it.
Local temporary Administrator
This setting creates a local administrator account for the duration of the remote session. It is possible to enable this section, by going to your account settings under Administration - Accounts - clicking on the account you want to use this with.
The Permissions section allows you then, to see your Remote access configuration. Select Can use local temporary administrator. Afterwards the selection should be available.
LAPS
You are additionally able to use LAPS while connecting with XEOX Remote. Similarly to Local Temp Admin you have to select the option in Administration - Accounts - clicking on the account you want to use this with and select Can use LAPS.
If you have LAPS enabled, it will allow you to use it. To check if LAPS is enabled, go to Devices and make the LAPS Password Colums visible.
Under Administration - Settings - Security, you can a LAPS client and server username that will be used when using XEOX Remote. The Password will then be automatically created.
